The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) remains committed to helping the country fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to offering the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex and the PhilSports facility for patient accommodation on Sunday, the sports agency has donated 220 mattresses to five hospitals and a test center set up by the University of the Philippines (UP-) Philippine Genome Center . PGC) volunteers.
A total of 90 mattresses were provided to health workers from the Manila Medical Center, Emilio Aguinaldo College Medical Center Cavite, the Fe Del Mundo Medical Center and the Capitol Medical Center, while 30 were distributed to Barangay Tanods who care for these hospitals.
A hundred more mattresses were given to the UP-PGC volunteers, who decided to donate half of the donation to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.
The PSC voluntarily provided the PhilSports Complex in Pasig City and the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila as quarantine options and helped to relieve hospitals. INQ
