MANILA, Philippines – Donovan Mitchell remains in high spirits as he continues to recover after a positive test for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Utah's all-star guard thanked his followers and assured everyone that he followed all medical procedures to combat the virus.
"I just want to thank you so much for your continued support, that means a lot to me," Mitchell said in a video published on the official Instagram account of NBA Sunday. "I'm fine, things are going well."
"I am taking the right precautions that have been communicated to me by the health authorities."
Mitchell was the second NBA player diagnosed with the virus after teammate Rudy Gobert was tested as the first patient of the virus in the league.
In the self-quarantine, Mitchell said that he had been playing "video games" all day and was determined to get back on the ground after the season ended.
“I can't wait to get on the floor and play in front of the best fans in the world. I really miss playing in front of you and we'll see you soon, ”Mitchell said.
